Terms of use.
These terms govern your use of modven.co and the forms on it. Engagements are governed by a separate written agreement, and where the two differ, that agreement controls.
1. Who we are
The site is operated by Modality Ventures LLC, doing business as Modven (“Modven”, “we”, “us”), an Illinois limited liability company based in Lake Bluff, Illinois. You can reach us at hello@modven.co.
2. What the site is for
The site describes our services and lets you request an Opportunity ID or contact us. Nothing on it is an offer that binds us until we have signed an engagement agreement with you. Prices and timelines shown on the site are our standard terms and may change; the terms in your signed agreement are the ones that apply to your engagement.
3. Requesting an Opportunity ID
Submitting the form is a request, not a purchase. Nothing is charged when you submit it. We will contact you, exchange a non-disclosure agreement, and confirm scope and price in writing before any work starts or any money moves. Either side may decline to proceed at any point before that agreement is signed.
4. Your content
Anything you send us through the site, including descriptions of your business and the systems you run, is treated as confidential and handled under our Data Statement. You confirm that you have the right to share what you send.
5. Our content
The text, design, graphics, code, and marks on the site belong to Modven or our licensors. Brigata, TYO, Terminalpha, and Supaliner are marks of their respective companies. You may read, link to, and quote the site with attribution. You may not copy it wholesale, scrape it for commercial use, or present it as your own.
6. No advice
The site is general information about how we work. It is not financial, legal, tax, or investment advice, and the results described for past clients and ventures do not promise a result for you. Every engagement is sized from your own records and carries its own written stop condition.
7. Third-party links
The site links to companies we founded or worked with. Those sites have their own terms and privacy practices, which we do not control.
8. Availability and liability
The site is provided as is. We work to keep it accurate and available but do not guarantee either. To the extent the law allows, Modven is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing here limits the terms of a signed engagement agreement.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about the site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Lake County, Illinois.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the bottom of the page tells you when. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept it.
